Our comprehensive courses in Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas offer participants the opportunity to obtain nationally recognised competencies that also meet the requirements of Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4761.

This course is intended for electrical workers, technicians and engineers involved with installing and maintaining electrical equipment in hazardous areas. It covers the principles of hazardous area classification, explosion-protection techniques, equipment installation requirements, inspections, and procedures for breakdowns and maintenance, with theory and practical components.

Prerequisite Competencies:

Course participants will require a minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent for award of Statement of Attainment. Apprentice electricians or candidates with tertiary electrical qualifications are eligible for award of Statement of Completion.

Notes:

Typically a minimum of 8 people is required to run the course.
