Description:

It covers the principles of hazardous area classification, explosion-protection techniques, equipment installation requirements, inspections, and procedures for breakdowns and maintenance, with theory and practical components.

Prerequisite Competencies:

Course participants will require a minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent for award of Statement of Attainment. Apprentice electricians or candidates with tertiary electrical qualifications are eligible for award of Statement of Completion.

Notes:

Typically a minimum of 5 people is required to run the course.
