Description: |
This course is intended for electrical workers and engineers working with HV switchgear in industrial facilities and networks. Emphasis is placed on practical switching exercises, performed either at our facility in Brisbane or on the customer's HV equipment. Participants are also taught switching theory and the responsibilities of permit users and recipients. |

In-class progressive assessment, short-answer test papers. Practical switching assessment. |

Upon successful completion of the course a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following Unit of Competency will be issued: Operate High Voltage Primary Switchgear Develop High Voltage Switching Programs Coordinate and Direct Switching Programs |

Prerequisite Competencies: |
Course participants will require a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent. |

Notes: |
Typically a minimum of 6 people is required to run the course. The course can be customised to suit a particular site. |
