| Description: |
This course is intended for Electrical workers to enable licence renewal, or as a periodic knowledge and skills refresher. It includes a review of standards and legislation focussing on recent changes, practical simulated fault-finding, installation testing as prescribed in AS3000 and AS3017, appliance and RCD testing as prescribed in AS3760 together with electrical risk assessment as described in the regulations and AS4836. |

In-class progressive assessment, short-answer test papers. Practical simulated fault-finding. |
Competency
Outcomes: |
Upon successful completion of the course a certificate is issued for use in licence renewal. |
| Prerequisite Competencies: |
Course participants will require a minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent for licence renewal. |

Electrical Standards and Regulations Refresher |
| Duration and Venue: |
1 Day, at CT's Brisbane or Mackay Training Centre or Client Facility |
| Description: |
This course reviews recent changes to AS3000 and various other industry-related Australian Standards as well as Mines Safety & Inspection Regulations, the Electrical Safety Act and Electrical Licensing Regulations. Regulations and standards are reviewed with a methodical approach to compliance explained and documented by worked examples. It is recommended as a refresher every two years and is updated on an ongoing basis to keep pace with changes to standards and legislation. |
