Enrolments are open for the internationally-recognised Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) and Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) course presented in collaboration with exida. This session is offered in Brisbane from 11-15 July 2011.

The CFSE concept was originally developed by engineers from TUV SUD and exida with the support of other international safety experts to ensure that personnel performing SIS lifecycle activities are competent as required by the IEC 6508, 61511, and 62061 standards.

These international standards require proof of qualification to ensure safety knowledge and skills are up to date. The CFSE program is the most stringent in the world and represents the best demonstration of competency in the world. Having these qualifications provides benefits to both individuals and companies – for companies it provides the proof of competence required by safety standards and for individuals possessing the skills will make them more valuable to employers.

The Competency Training course will present the CFSE material and includes a revision session as preparation for sitting the CFSE Governance Board examination. The examination is not included.
